After experiencing much success hosting open houses there are three reasons I suggest a realtor host an open house.
Build Trust & Relationship with Your Clients
Most realtors don’t like holding open houses. They feel it’s a waste of time. The National Association of Realtors state in Realtor Magazine, “most sellers expect their agents to hold an open house as part of the services agents provide for their listings”. Hosting an open house provides an occasion to meet client’s expectation.
Provides Opportunity for Future Buyers and Sellers
According to analytics from more than 1,000 homes sold and thousands of coaching calls conducted, 20 percent of all buyers shopping in the mid-price point go to open houses so they can decide which house they want to buy that very weekend. At higher price point, including the luxury tier, 30 percent of all buyers go to open houses so they can decide which house to buy that weekend. Your next client could very well walk through the door of your next open house.
Showcase Your Home
We all know a picture is worth a thousand words but staging the home during an open house creates a statement-making, yet versatile space that aids prospective buyers to envision living in your home. An open house also allows you to skip weeks of individual showings and enjoy the benefits of an increased audience at a cost of a few hours.
